Three Famous Sarahs

Sarah is one of the most popular female names in the western world and because it’s such a common name there are quite a few “famous Sarahs” out there. In this post I take a quick look at three of the most famous Sarahs in the world!

#1 Sarah Palin: Due to her selection as the VP candidate for John McCain during the most recent presidential election she is probably the most famous Sarah in the world. And because it looks likely that she will run for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2012 I don’t think that will change in the near future.

While Palin was a laughing stock to most due to her lack of intelligence and confused world view she was and is quite popular with the religious fundamentalists that make up the core of the shrinking Republican party. She is quite popular among the group of people who still, after everything that’s happened, think that former President George W. Bush was a good President!

The good thing for the rest of the United States is that the number of people who hold a positive view of of Bush is quite low which in turn means the prospective voter base for Palin is also quite small in comparison to President Obama.

#2 Sarah Michelle Gellar: She’s an actress most well known for having three names and for her starring role in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television program and in the 1999 movie Cruel Intentions. She also starred in the Grudge and the Grudge 2 horror movies in 2004 & 2006.

#3 Sarah Jessica Parker: Parker is most well known for her role in Sex and the City and her excruciatingly annoying commercials. She’s also been in quite a few movies including 1991’s LA Story starring Steve Martin (Martin also wrote the screenplay.) More recently she starred in 2005’s The Family Stone and 2008’s Smart People along with the movie version of Sex and the City.

According to the new upstart pseudo religion known as The Collective Sarah Being everyone is actually a Sarah in some way. I don’t know exactly what that’s supposed to mean but I find it quite interesting anyway.
