Learn And Master Painting Using Oils
Making sure that you have good quality products for your oil painting process is very important to be successful. You’ll need good brushes, paint, canvas, canvas primer and thinners/solvents. But how do you know if its good quality? When it comes to finding the right materials for painting, you will have a learning curve. Basically you have to get a feel for the materials and get comfy.
Whenever you are picking out your canvas, you need to make sure that you pick out a good one that you are comfortable with. When it comes to quality, don’t focus on it too much in the beginning. In case you love your first painting, make sure to pick up a decent canvas that will last. The first thing you’ll have to do is prime the canvas for oil use.
Brushes are to painting as tires are to a car, quality makes a huge difference. I highly suggest using hog’s hair brushes because they work great with oil paint because it is very thick. Try out all the different sizes and shapes of brushes and figure out which one works for you. You will have to get a lot of thinner to clean out your brushes. And now, we have the paints. When you buy oil pants, get quality. Start with the primary colors, red, yellow and blue, and then add to your collection as you go on.
A part of painting is learning the methods, and if you are like 85% of people, you can’t afford a tutor or have the time/money to take courses at your local college or trade school. So what are your cheaper and more convenient options? A program called Learn & Master Painting by Gayle Levee is designed specifically for at home painters to learn. Imagine being able to learn at your own pace in your own house? Unlike the DVD’s included, you can’t pause your tutor to go run errands! Learn and Master also has other quality courses such as Learn and Master Ballroom Dance and Learn and Master Piano. How about you just read the review of Learn and Master Ballroom Dance and Learn and Master Piano Review at ReviewMOZ for yourself instead of me telling you about the products.
